Nellie is a complete and total sweetie. If you are looking for a big baby to love you unconditionally, look no further! Nellie is a timid dog, but she is seriously the best love bug you will ever meet.
We LOVE Nellie! She is a staff and volunteer favorite. She is always so happy to see everyone she knows and we all spoil her with lots of loving and belly rubs. You’ll know you’ve won her over when she shows you her belly! She gives us gentle kisses and cuddles.
We are so grateful that Nellie is now awaiting adoption in a foster home where she has come out of her shell and shown us her passion for soccer balls and bubbles! This girl is a HOOT when she gets the zoomies.
Nellie could potentially join a home with children and/or cats. Right now, we think she would do best in a home where kids are 10 or older due to her initial timid behavior when meeting new people. During her cat evaluation, she showed no interest in the cat, but we can retest her with cats if requested. As of right now, she needs to be the only dog in the home, as she was uncomfortable around other dogs during her time at the shelter.
Give this sweet girl a chance and she’ll be the best couch companion you could ever ask for ! (PS – she does like to go for walks too )
